About
I was born and raised in Nebraska, USA, 2002. I received my BA in Fine Arts from Hastings College, Nebraska.
I wish I was a better writer and don't want to just put something AI and empty here so I'll do the best I can for now.
What helps guide my work is philosophy, psychology, and self reflection. I study and learn what I can from these topics in hopes that, even if it's a small amount, to share the comfort and clarity I find within them. They help me articulate my thoughts and feel a little less alone in trying to figure out how to think, how to live, and how to question life critically. Painting just so happened to be the area where I felt I could express my mind the clearest.
I believe that art helps make the world a better place, even if it's only a little bit at a time. I don't aim for anything to be perfectly painted or catered a certain way. I just hope for my work to hold meaning somehow and to create deep emotional resonance with my audience. These skeletal figures and usually barren backgrounds help me towards this purpose because it removes everything else that distracts from the point of them. It's just you, the painting, and our shared human experiences underneath.
What each work means is for you to decide.
